Sandbox Effect

Advice

Sandbox is a term recently devised that describes an effect often seen with new websites.  The other term often used is 'aging delay'.

New websites are often held back on the ranking position.  This happens because search engines are putting the website through a test phase.  This test phase is whether to determine that the website is a trusted site before the search engine gives it its due ranking position.  The sandbox effect can often take hold as long as 6 months

Many new sites are often temporary sites, which exist no more than a few months.  These sites are often poor in content and search engines do not want to rank them highly.

Patient is key.  Using inept methods to try reduce the Sandbox time is useless and often a waste of time and money.
